There can not be Russian forces in Afghanistan Russia cannot send its forces under any sort of NATO command, given the very tense state of the relationship between Russia and NATO, states Vitaly Naumkin from the Institute of Oriental Studies.

“Obama is the first ‘global’ president” “In the era of globalization, Obama thinks not only of US, but of the whole world, which he showed in his strategy of global respect and cooperation,” believes David Wolfe, senior partner at Northstar Corporate Finance.

“Russia is not the most important country for Obama” “Obama is pragmatic; he knows that Russia is not a threat to the US. His aim is to reduce the expenses which the US carries now protecting itself from Russia, a country that is actually no threat to the US,”

“Obama tactic to call Medvedev ‘leader of the future'” “Obama’s approach states ‘Mr Medvedev, like myself, is a leader of the present and of the future.’ But will that work?” wonders Andrian Blomfield, Moscow correspondent for the British newspaper The Daily Telegraph.
