Russian computer whiz crowned world's best

A Russian student, Pyotr Mitrichev, has won the world programming championships, taking place in the U.S. Over 3,000 young and talented student programmers took part.
It is not only money they were fighting for. The contest is thought to be a good way to promote the rising stars of the software field.
Pyotr Mitrichev wins the championship
Pyotr Mitrichev performed the best result and took home the top prize of $US 25 000.
Some journalists observing the tournament already named him the Tiger Woods of the Collegiate Challenge Algorithm competition.
