A Supreme court official has been gunned down in the Republic of Ingushetia in Russia’s North Caucasus. Khasan Yandiev, who was the court's deputy chairman, was attacked while in his car in the town of Karabulak. Police are yet to identify the gunmen. It comes just two days after a police officer was murdered in the same republic.

Yandiev was responsible for anti-corruption and the most grave crimes involving militants. Police believe he was targeted for his professional activities.

On Friday, a police officer was killed and two more people wounded in an attack on a police car in Ingushetia.

An unidentified group of people opened fire at the car of the police officer in the village of Sagapshi
