Button and Barichello fastest at Monaco GP

Brawn GP continues to dominate Formula 1 as they claimed their third one-two win of the season in Monaco, with season leader Jenson Button finishing first.

Ross Brawn’s men one again produced a superb start to the race. Button kept his first place, and Barichello entered the first corner in second, overtaking Ferrari’s Kimi Räikkönen.

Brawn GP drivers started to drive away from the peleton, but managed to keep up with their pace and didn’t fall behind.

The only pilot that challenges Button and Barichello in the driver’s championship, Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel crashed his car, and was forced to leave the race with 63 laps out of 78 to go.

The trio of leaders didn’t change until the checkered flag, joined by the second Ferrari of Felipe Massa.

Button remains a comfortable leader in the drivers’ championship. The British pilot won five races out of six this season. His teammate Rubens Barrichello is second.

Meanwhile, aerodynamic developments brought in at the Spanish GP seem to be paying off for Ferrari as Kimi Räikkönen’s third place gave the Italian team their first podium of 2009.
