Previous Next Irina Galushko
Irina Galushko is a news correspondent at RT.
She joined the channel in 2005 as a broadcast journalist. After a brief stint as an international desk producer, newsroom called her back, and Irina returned to become an assistant editor.
In 2009, she decided to broaden her experience on television and switched to reporting.
Almost immediately afterwards she was sent to Georgia, where she interviewed most of the leaders of the Georgian opposition, and covered mayoral elections and opposition protests.
Irina studied art history and international communications at the University of Washington.
In her spare time – which does come around on occasion, when facebook addiction becomes intolerable – she enjoys re-reading Umberto Eco, painting, drawing, and wakeboarding.
