Kristine Frazao is a studio anchor and correspondent in RT’s Washington, DC bureau.
She is an Emmy-award winning journalist with more than a decade of experience in the field.
Before coming to RT, Kristine worked as a freelance correspondent for CNN Newsource in Washington DC, covering the top stories of the day out of the White House and Capitol Hill. Before arriving in Washington, she spent four years working as a reporter in her home city of San Diego, for both the NBC and Fox affiliates. There, she covered breaking news and major stories, including one of the largest immigration protests in the country, the 2008 presidential campaign, and the 2007 wildfires. She also spent two years working at the ABC affiliate in Savannah, GA where she covered the military and the government, including the G8 Conference, the U.S. Army’s 3rd Infantry Division and state and local elections. She also traveled to Gulfport, Mississippi where she spent several days covering the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
Kristine received her Bachelor’s degree in History from Boston College and her Master’s degree from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern.She has also worked on freelance travel projects, including several reports from cities around Costa Rica.In her spare time Kristine loves hiking, skiing, traveling, reading and hanging out with her dog, Chomsky.
