Laura Smith is RT's correspondent in London.

Originally from Reading, in the U.K., Laura has lived in Moscow for five years and worked at RT since its launch in December 2005. Highlights of her work at the channel include anchoring RT's studio coverage of the recent parliamentary and presidential elections, during which she interviewed Andrey Lugovoy, and reporting live for Business Today from the 6th International Investment Forum in Sochi.

Before joining RT, Laura worked in marketing for a large American law firm in Moscow. That brought her into contact with many of the newsmakers she reported on in Business Today. Following her work as RT's Business presenter, she became the channel's correspondent in London in 2009.

In her free time, Laura plays the piano and reads. She has also lived in St. Petersburg, Brittany and rural Mexico, and speaks Russian, French and Spanish.
