Marina Portnaya is an RT correspondent, based in New York bureau.
From the diplomatic debates inside the United Nations, to the social and political battles across the United States, Marina covers controversial and historic events as they unfold.
During America's 2008 Presidential Election campaign, Marina filed reports from the riots surrounding the Republican National Convention, and later… from the roaring crowds in Chicago celebrating Barack Obama’s victory.

Politics aside, Marina has introduced RT viewers to issues often ignored by mainstream media such as Vermont’s efforts to secede from the Union, and US Iraq War deserters being deported from Canada.
Marina regularly contributes to RT’s newsmaker program, conducting one-on-one interviews with influential figures including former Presidential Candidate Bill Bradley, Economist Peter Schiff, Trend Forecaster Gerald Celente, Saddam Hussein's lawyer Ramsey Clark, and world renowned scholar Noam Chomsky.
