Priya Sridhar is RT’s South Asia Correspondent, based in the channel’s New Delhi bureau.

Prior to taking up her post in India, Priya was a studio anchor and correspondent at RT’s

There she covered politics from Capitol Hill and traveled across the US covering everything from immigration stories to the impact of globalization on rural areas of the country.

Before joining RT, Priya was a multimedia journalist for the NBC affiliates in Bangor and Portland, Maine. There, she shot, edited, reported and wrote all of her own stories.

Priya completed her undergraduate studies at Bowdoin College, double majoring in Government and Legal Studies and History. During her time in college, Priya founded, anchored and produced the college’s first news show.

She proceeded to get a Masters’ degree in Broadcast Journalism from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism. She has also interned at ABC News' Law and Justice Unit in New York, NBC News' London Bureau and CNN International in London and New Delhi. In addition, she did freelance work at Al Jazeera English in Washington DC.

Priya was born and raised outside of Boston, Massachusetts. Her parents are from India. She is excited to return to her family’s country, cover the South Asia region and bring the New Delhi bureau to new heights.
