Robert Vardanian is a Sports correspondent for RT.

Since joining the team in 2008, Robert has covered a wide range of sporting events, although reporting on ice hockey, football, extreme sports and mixed martial arts is what gives him some special drive.

There can hardly be a good story without an outstanding personality in it – especially when it comes to sports.

Following up this tenet, Robert was proud to meet and interview the likes of Fedor Emelyanenko, Aleksandr Mostovoy, Vyacheslav Fetisov and Evgeny Plyushchenko.

Elsewhere, he's been in charge of doing the KHL highlights and compilations along with featuring its brightest stars since the very launch of the league.

Robert's educational background includes physics and math, but that did not stop him from completing a post-graduate course on psychology.
