Tesa Arcilla joined RT in 2010 as a correspondent and news presenter.

Since joining RT, she’s done live reports on a wide range of stories from gas disputes, spy swaps and the Global Policy Forum to a fun summer water flash mob in Moscow. She's also traveled with RT's Close Up team to discover, experience and share the diversity of Russia's regions.

Tesa started her journalism career in print media. She covered international events such as the 2000 Summer Olympic Games in Sydney and interviewed high-profile individuals from a variety of industries – from the last British governor of Hong Kong, Chris Patten, to action comedy star Jackie Chan – for newspapers and publications in the Asia-Pacific region. She was sent to places from South Africa to South Australia to write travel features and she also wrote regular arts and culture reviews.

She later moved from print to television and joined Hong Kong's English channel, TVB Pearl, where she was a business producer/reporter and main news presenter. During this time, Tesa followed stories in the world of business and finance, investigated financial scams, and reported on major events such as the collapse of the global financial system, as well as economic and legal developments in mainland China that impacted the Asia-Pacific region.

While finishing her postgraduate degree in journalism, she worked for CNN International's Asia headquarters as a freelancer for Talk Asia and was also part of Al Jazeera English's program, "48", featuring Hong Kong.

Tesa holds a Bachelor degree in Liberal Arts/Humanities and a Masters in Integrated Marketing Communications from the University of Asia and the Pacific, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Journalism from the Journalism and Media Studies Centre of the University of Hong Kong.

She likes reading, traveling, photography, kickboxing, learning about new cultures and exploring everything that Russia has to offer. She is fluent in English and Tagalog, and can converse in Cantonese and French.
