I don't see the Chechens ever producing a positive culture rooted in a peaceful way of life. They would have to start by renaming their city 'Grozny'..Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't that mean, 'terrible'? In any case,  the Dubai comparison is probably apt because Dubai is another rich wasteland with no soul.

I am very proud of this small nation making noise and developing so fast - after two wars. Caucasus and the Chechens deserve a modern metropolis for the entire area to attract future investments. The area need good schools and jobs. The leadership is effective, projects are being executed fast and at a very good quality, corruption is not existent. Some countries should learn from this. Mr Kadyrov and his teams work extremely long hours and puttings in big efforts. But it seems that they get only critized for their hard work from abroad.  Well done Chechnia.  Keep going. World is watching you. I look forward to vising myself for the first time. Hopefully the Grozny airport will be operating international flights soon. I suggest that foreigns instead of reading articles only about "human rights issues" by reporters who possibly never visited this country and are under political pressure from certain governments, go and visit Grozny, read/watch local news, speak to local people and make their own opinion only after this.

Opening of Grozny City event:  It is sad that a celebrity like Hillary Swank performs on this event and is then reported to say that she "deeply regrets" her visit? Is this comment again an anti-propaganda?  I can't imagine this lady would said something like this. To human rights activist groups:  stop putting pressure and let the Chechen nation be happy and proud of their new city.
