A Hungarian musician died for his love of music. Sandor Feher was the violinist on board the stricken cruise ship ‘Costa Condcordia’. He lost his life while trying to retrieve his beloved instrument from his cabin while the ship sank.
His fellow musicians in the ships band say Feher helped children on with their life vests, and instead of heading for the life boats went below decks to get his violin.
The Costa Concordia had more than three thousand people on board when it struck rocks of the Tuscan coast of Italy last Friday evening.
Eleven people are confirmed dead, and twenty one are still missing. The Captain of the ship is in custody, and a maritime investigation has begun into the tragedy.
