One of Russia’s most stylish women, the former editor-in-chief of the Vogue magazine, has started spinning “the crystal ball of pop”. Alyona Doletskaya is set to become head of Interview magazine, following in Andy Warhol’s footsteps.
Founded by the pioneer of pop art back in 1969, the famous magazine focuses on tète-à-tète conversations with the cream of the crop in art and entertainment.
Some of the leading creative players from the world of fashion, music, art, film and culture share their thoughts and experiences in Interview in a chatty, laid-back manner. Their lively interviews usually come out unedited.
The legendary American magazine has not been published in Europe until now and is finally set to appear in Russia by the end of the year.
Doletskaya, who was head of Vogue for 13 years up until last year, will be in charge not only of the Russian edition of Interview, but also of its German version.
It has been reported that the Interview’s publishing house has been co-founded by Naomi Campbell’s boyfriend, Russian billionaire Vladislav Doronin.
