In the light of the Belarus gig by the American shock-rocker Marilyn Manson, leaflets rallying residents against his upcoming show have been discovered in the capital, Minsk, declaiming the musician as a “Satanist” and a “pervert”.

“Marilyn Manson is an American singer promoting in his songs and during concerts  Antichristianism and Satanism (he is also member of the Church of Satan), as well as erasure of borders between the sexes (hermaphroditism), homosexuality, pedophilia, other perversity, violence, cruelty with animals, Nazism and use of drugs,” the leaflet informed.

Those who don't want “such filth” in Belarus have been urged to write letters of protest against Manson, known as the “Antichrist superstar”.

His reputation precedes him: wanted for indecent behavior, notorious for his provocative personality, criticized for grotesque creativity. Born Brian Hugh Warner, his stage name is a fusion of two names: beauty icon Marilyn Monroe and serial killer Charles Manson.

So far, no requests to cancel Manson's show in Minsk, due to take place on December 21, have been registered by local authorities, Euroradio reported.
