Taking aesthetic and erotic pleasures at the museum is not forbidden, providing you are not awkward with the “Kamasutra spoon”.

An X-rated exhibition of contemporary art inspired by human sexuality is due to open at the Moscow Museum of Modern Art on July 8.

The display of works by up-and-coming artists from America, Norway, Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, Indonesia, France and Russia promises to be tantalizing and sexy.

The exhibition is about using sexuality as an outlet for creative energy, organizers say. However, the aim of the project – overseen by one of Russia’s most flamboyant artists, Andrey Bartenev – is not to seduce audiences with explicit images.

The challenge is to raise awareness of sexual power, showing off its role in life and creativity by pushing the boundaries of your imagination. And it seems that most of these artists know how to use their sexuality tastefully.

“Kamasutra spoon” blends the sense of sexuality and aesthetic creation to the point where one is almost inconceivable without the other.

So, if our sexuality is so energizing, why not enjoy and admire it in public? Let yourself be spoon-fed from now until August 15.
