The buzz, the vibe, the kinetic energy of the capital has come under the focus of many photographers worldwide. Russia’s Darya Dostal is no exception.
She’ll unveil her vision of the Russian capital during the 3rd Biennale of Art, on October 8.
Actress-turned photographer, Darya Dostal comes from an artistic family. Her father is a prominent Russian filmmaker. Cinema has been in Darya’s blood since childhood, and it shows in her photographs.

It’s not a city that never sleeps, rather a place that always stays awake. Like in a classic road movie where action is shown through a never-ending journey, some of Darya’s pictures were also taken from the window of a speeding car.
“Photodelics. Moscow” is Dostal’s first-time experience in photography on display at Moscow’s Museum of Modern Art till October 24.
Should her debut personal exhibition in the Russian capital get positive feedback, Darya has every chance to become a fully-fledged, one-of-a-kind photographer.
