Do you remember your dreams? One of Russia’s most sought-after fashion photographers captures his on camera.

Vladimir Glynin’s latest exhibition is called ‘A Dream.' While psychologists from all over the world dedicate years of research to studies of dreams, Glynin tells his theory.

‘Our unconscious mind looms large when we dream, with all kinds of fears, nightmares, hopes, and loves hidden inside. A dream is a metaphor for solitude, obscurity and meditation that surrounds each of us. But re-booting and refinement usually happen as we sleep,’ Glynin says.

According to Sigmund Freud, dreams are the most profound when they seem the most crazy.

Surreal and romantic, Glynin’s dreams are not as innocent as they seem to be. ‘Still waters run deep,’ admits the sophisticated photographer who says he’s searching for a new language in photography.

‘Impressionists transformed the world of images when they chose against literality in art. Photographers were there to give the exact vision of reality. But nowadays, people have learned to speak a [more] complicated language and I’d love to share it with them.”

Glynin is a professional ballet dancer. He launched a career as a photographer in the mid-nineties when he was part of the Bolshoi Theatre Company. His first photographs featured a behind-the-scenes look into the world of one of Russia’s most renowned theatres.

Glynin’s erotic images leave the viewer to guess who is portrayed in them, a man or a woman. What unconscious activities are on their mind is another tricky question.

His exhibition runs at the ruArts gallery till June 20.
