Putin’s personality cult goes beyond posters on the walls. Some are ready to live with Putin’s portrait on their own body.
So proves a local of Nizhny Novgorod, Volga District, Aleksey Oskola, who now has Putin on his thigh.
The young man considers Russia’s Prime-Minister a significant figure in Russian history. “Vladimir Putin raised the country after Yeltsin’s presidency; to me he is the best of all Russian presidents ever … I like him as a person”, Oskola says.
Answering the question why the tattoo was placed on his thigh, the young man said he has no more free space left on the upper part of his body.
Having searched the web Aleksey Oskola believes he is the first man to get a Putin’s portrait tattoo, at least in his city he is the only one.
The artist who tattooed Vladimir Putin’s portrait on Aleksey’s leg says he has seen “worse cases”, when people ask for tattoos picturing Adolph Hitler, Che Guevara or stars of popular reality-shows.
