Once upon a time… in Russia. The daughter of the legendary American filmmaker Sergio Leone, Francesca, is bringing her art to the Russian capital.
Born in Rome, Francesca has been plunged into visual arts since childhood. Her father’s films – “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly” starring Clint Eastwood and “Once Upon A Time in America” with Robert de Niro – have been praised for their simplicity and style.
Francesca’s works, rich in atmosphere and emotion like her father’s, have been dubbed as the “modern classics of our time”.
Leone’s first-ever solo exhibition in Moscow opens on June 25 at the Museum of Modern Art. Entitled “Beyond Their Gaze”, it features a selection of 30 large-scale paintings.
