A young man jumped off the platform in the Moscow metro, exposing himself to the danger of a lethal electric shock. He later explained that he risked his life to draw graffiti and win a bet with his girlfriend.
The 19-year-old Muscovite was detained by a metro policeman while trying to draw graffiti on the wall behind the platform, Rosbalt news agency says.
“He made a bet with his sweetheart, who was demanding him to show some unusual bravery," said Colonel Yury Azarov of the Moscow police. "So, he promised to spring a surprise on her. As a real man, he was eager to win the bet.”
The move was brave indeed, as jumping off of a platform exposes one to the real chance of accidentally touching the conduct rail and being killed.
Discussions are currently ongoing about whether to launch a criminal case against the vandal.
