Billionaire Mikhail Prokhorov, worth $9.5 billion according to Forbes magazine, has set up a literary award, entitled ‘NOS’.

While the economic crisis causes havoc among Russia’s super rich, there’s one man who has bucked the trend. Mikhail Prokhorov has risen to the top of the wealthy list with a multi-billion dollar fortune.
The French court has yet to issue a verdict on the case of the unlawful detention of the young Russian women who accompanied the tycoon Mikhail Prokhorov to a skiing resort in France.
Rusal has nominated former major Norilsk Nickel shareholder Mikhail Prokhorov for a place on the Norilsk Nickel board.

An album of possibly the most comprehensive and eclectic collection of pictures of Russia has just been published. Its author is British photographer James Hill, who first came to Moscow in the early 1990s.
