The Russian film “Hipsters” by director Valery Todorovsky has won the main prize – the Black Pearl – of the Third Middle East International Film Festival, which is coming to an end in Abu-Dhabi.
So far there is olmost no internationally recognised russian films, only a few not very well known, such as Mongol and Night watch. Hopefully will come up with something soon.

Is there a Russian film that has been internationally recognized that does not deal with the Soviet era? Why does the topic still has such a large center of gravity?
