Graffiti has covered the walls of the world’s cities for decades, giving rise to new styles and schools in street art. Fresh examples of this genre will be unveiled in the upcoming graffiti art exhibition in Moscow.
Graffiti is sometimes regarded as a form of unsightly or unwanted damage. However more people are joining the camp of those who have agree that graffiti is a form of art.
The exciting process of creating graffiti art work is much more than just painting a wall. People coloring property walls face plenty of difficulties. Many graffiti artists have short-footage film about the creation of their works in their personal archives. Some of those will be presented within the “One Love” display.
The expositions during the show days will be interchanged quickly, just as in cities. Within the first part of this expo, gurus of Moscow’s old school graffiti scene, along with representatives of the new wave, representing various styles will splash out the magic on the “TSEH 5” gallery walls.
The second part of the show will celebrate the 10th anniversary of the legendary Graffiti band, THE RUS CREW, which will tell the story in pictures. Also visitors can see photographs of the crew’s best works, carefully hidden from the eyes of graffiti doubters, the Internet and other mass-media.
The whole process of painting the gallery’s walls will be carefully filmed, so that the guests could not miss any detail and almost “smell” the paint. The footage will be displayed on a big screen installed in the exhibition space.
As graffiti has become an irreplaceable element of hip-hop culture, this topic will be supported with the musical accompaniment of the top hip-hop DJs and installations dedicated to hip-hop.
The “One Love” expo-project is truly something that promises to be an unforgettable experience. It will open on August 21 at “TSEH 5”gallery in Moscow’s Winzavod and will last through September 6. Don’t miss it!
