“The future depends on you” declare the organizers of the modern art project that has traveled seven cities of Russia and has now come to the capital.
The collection itself is systematized in seven thematic sections: “Idea”, “Neoclassic”, “Parody”, “Psychedelics”, “Revolution”, “Sociality” and “Body”. It covers a certain period in our contemporary history when art and society had every chance to become useful for each other.
The artworks of the exhibition were selected by New Rules Company director Pierre-Christian Brochet specifically for this regional year-long tour and are thought to promote modern art for collectors.

The aim was to initiate interest in modern Russian art by showing the cream of it in major Russian cities. Now “The future…” is by right considered one of the biggest exhibition initiatives in the field of the modern art of Russia over the last 50 years.
The organizers called for investing in modern art to make profit for the artists, investors, and also for the spectators in the regions.
Last years’ art strained after bourgeois values, wishing to be interesting for collectors and simply to please the eye of the spectator. The exposition “The future depends on you” aspires to capture the brightest aspects of life. Vladislav Mamyshev-Monroe’s disguise; Oleg Kulik’s self-torture; the flamboyant works of Dubossarsky and Vinogradov where model-like looking girls pose against paintings of Russian classics; and staged wars played by professional models in computer collages of group ÃÂÂÂÕS+F.
The traveling project is on until August 2 at the Moscow Museum of Modern Art in Petrovka Street, 25.
