An exhibition of works by one of America’s most flamboyant pop artists, Andy Warhol, opens in the Russian capital.

Entitled “Ladies and Gentlemen”, the display features over 60 works created by Warhol from late 50s to mid 80s.

In fact, the title says it all about the world of the versatile artist, who was friends with film stars, singers and A-list celebrities from all walks of life.

Moscow’s “K35” gallery has put on display some of Warhol’s most famous portraits, including his photo prints of Marilyn Monroe, Madonna and Michael Jackson.

The quintessential American artist, Warhol is said to be the most sought-after artist after Picasso, whose works sell like hot cakes at auctions.

His exhibition in Moscow will run until December 3.
