The Year of France in Russia has kicked off with an opening of the exhibition of Picasso’s masterpieces at the Pushkin Museum of Fine Art, promising many more events to come.
I apologize for doubting of RT's fairness, you published one of my two comments under JCM signature. You will notice; as I said when RT started a Spanish program (which I watch, sometime) that you will receive few comments from France. Very few French speak and write English properly and our "frime" tendency forbid us to use badly a foreign language (We have so many citizen having a limited French language). I don't like to be nasty to my own country; but she has been so badly managed for so long that she has become a consented anarchy, our elite's bad example has gangrened the whole society; and, in our actual materialist way of life, "Little America" is in a desperate need of money (That is why we sell that : "Mistral"). If we take in consideration our government's lies, our industry private debts and naturally our public debts, we have over two trillions € of debts (we are not in much better shape than Greece). I do believe that the Russian Embassy's employees can confirm my remarks. I do not particularly appreciate Mr Medvedev's visit because, it will be used to fool the French people a little more, two weeks before ou regional elections; when Sarkonaparte's party UMP is in serious troubles. Then that visit and some exaggerations will be reported when our machiavelic comedian will visit his real friends in Washington. The Russian President must know about Sarkozy's manipulations. Why does he accept to participate ? It is getting tiring to see our over-excited president saving the World every two or three months; when at the same time more and more French loose their job, their home and their dignity. Please, Russians, be kind to my people but treat that guignol as he deserve to be... Sincerely. Jean-Claude Meslin
I have ride quiet a few stupidities in that topic. 1) Picasso was born in Spain in 1881; in 1904 he moved definitely to Paris where he died in 1973. Even if he made most of his painting in France, he is recorded as a Spanish painter. 2) A more representative french painter, artist or writer will have better represented my country. 3) Mitterrand is a strange and deviated person, nevertheless he deserve to have his name spelled properly. 4) What good will Mr Medvedev's trip to Paris do to the Russian and French "average" person. Many businessmen will use and abuse the qualified and cheaper Russian workforce to make cars, trains, navy-ships and planes which should have been build in France. For our businessmen and their stocks' holders, Russia is a huge market and an enormous natural-resources reserve. Consequently, many of my fellow-citizen will lose their job. Will it improve the average Russian citizen living conditions; I doubt it ! 5) Our machiavelic comedian will make an expensive and majestic show for the Russian president's visit; He will save the World an other time, then as a little poodle will go report to his American real masters. 6) It is none of my business but to my humble opinion, Mr Medvedev is too westernised to be sincere toward his people wishes and needs. (same thing apply to his brother leading Gasprom like Total was). 7) I must be close to the truth, because, a similar comment (virulent toward Sarkonaparte), sent yesterday was not published.
