Mozart would be pleased to learn that musicians in Austria are reviving the tradition of performing concerts in the homes of their audience. Vienna's famed Konzerthaus has labeled such live gigs as "Rent a musician".

The “home delivery” option has been created to publicize Konzerthaus’ new contemporary concert season, Agence France Press reported.

Music lovers now have a chance to book a 20-minute "domestic concert" by the members of the Viennese contemporary ensemble Phace. The concert can take place either at the client’s home or at a location of their choice. Since the 1990s, the ensemble has appeared in some if the most famous concert halls and prestigious festivals in Austria and overseas.

The choice of musicians span from an accordion and clarinet duo, to guitar and percussion, a trio of cello, contrabass and saxophone, to a solo piano performance, although the piano will have to be provided.

A small donation is said to be enough to secure one of the 20 mini-concerts due to be performed on the first night, on October 12.
