A famed French pastry brand is about to get a regal new flavor. The luxury Laduree macaroons are to pay tribute to Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II to mark her 60th anniversary on the throne.

The popular Paris pastry shop will release a special limited-edition series of their much-loved macaroons in honor of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.

Laduree’s most famous creation, the small, round cakes – crispy on the outside, with a soft filling in the middle – will be packed in a special Union Flag-themed box with the inscription "Queen's Diamond Jubilee."

The macaroons will also be produced in the colors of the British flag – as close to the real colors as possible.

Queen Elizabeth has become the second “brand” to win Laduree’s attention. The pastry house has only once before made a limited-edition series of deserts – that time, it was for the Hello Kitty brand.

But if you want to try one of these monarchal macaroons, you’ll need to be prepared to pay. Laduree is known to be an expensive place to shop for deserts.

The Queen will celebrate 60 years of her reign this summer, with festivities to be held in the UK on the Jubilee weekend from 2 to 5 June.

This is the second time a British monarch has marked 60-years on the throne. Almost a century ago, Queen Victoria also celebrated a Diamond Jubilee.

The British royal mafia clan are buttering up Bahrain after a serious falling out with Saudi Arabia over Syria. The Royal MI6 does their dirty business in the East, while the chief reptiles arrange a ritual parade of allegiance for their vassal. Their usual way.

Please, RT, do us a favour. One of the things I enjoy most about this site is not having to deal with the noxious deferential fawning over every tiny minutiae of this disgusting family. Don't go down that road, please.

Oh i simply must have one....               I don't know where you can buy one, but I advice you not to be so foolish. Save your hard-earned money. Food is an item, whether eaten by royalty or a beggar, will get digested &  pass out of your poor body and you know how bad it smells. With this Queen also, its the same. So don't get your hopes up. Just eat some simple food for your existence only.
