Russia’s largest brewer, Baltika, has posted a Net profit for 2008 of 15.5 Billion Roubles under IFRS.

The Rouble has fallen to historic lows against the dollar and other major currencies. In Russia, people who took out mortgages in foreign currencies are struggling to keep their homes.
Sakhalin-2 wont be the last Gazprom LNG project, with the company planning further LNG developments. This will allow it to reduce dependence on transit countries, and cash in on the growing gas spot market.

The world's largest oil and gas project Sakhalin-2 has begun to produce Russia's first LNG for the world market. The first deliveries will go to Japan, where Russian LNG will have a major impact.
Even during an economic downturn, Russians haven’t abandoned their sweet tooth, with sales of sweets and chocolates holding up surprisingly well.
