Energy majors may see FAS in court over lack of information

Russia's Federal Anti-Monopoly Service is considering taking legal measures against several oil companies IT says have refused to disclose information on fuel prices. The FAS is investigating whether large firms have abused their “dominant position&

The move comes after Prime Minister Vladimir Putin criticized the agency for its failure to keep petrol and jet fuel prices under control.

Lukoil, Gazprom Neft, TNK-BP, Rosneft, and Surgutneftegas were all requested to submit information to authorities by August 1st. But, the FAS says Surgutneftegas was the only company to do so.
