Household gas will rise 40%: Minister

The average price of household gas in Russia will increase by 40% in 2011, according to Deputy Economic Development Minister. But Andrey Klepach says prices will remain virtually unchanged until then.
The ministry is set to discuss a new program for higher tariffs on natural monopolies in a government meeting on Tuesday.
Under the current proposal, electricity costs will increase by an average of 20 % a year.
