Evgeny Gavrilenkov, the Chief Economist of the Troika Dialog investment company, shared with Russia Today his views concerning the debates in the Russian State Duma on the three-year budget.

Russia Today: Quite an unusual budget proposal. So, it is interesting to see if it is going to be approved right away or it will meet any resistance? Why this three year plan instead of one, and how will this affect the long-term influence on the Russian financial situation?

Evgeny Gavrilenkov: Definitely, I do not expect any resistance in the Duma. I think it is a very reasonable proposal and I have to say that in my opinion it will not change that much the budgetary planning, because already in the past few years, the government used to submit some outlook for its fiscal policy for three years. It was maybe more aggregate, just indicative numbers. Here, we will have more detailed breakdown on expenditures and why it is needed now
