Kalina, Russian cosmetics and perfumery producer, has posted a 1H 2010 of 272.3 million roubles under IFRS.

The bottom line was up 5.3% from a 1H 2009 net result of 258.6 million roubles, despite EBITDA falling 21.5% to 684 million roubles from 871 million roubles in 1H 2009, on the back of revenues declining 2.4% year on year to 6.6 billion roubles.

According to the statement, consolidated revenues were down, despite higher sales in Russia and CIS countries, which grew 15.3%, as Kalina sold its low-profit business Dr. Scheller Cosmetics AG, involved in the production and realization of mouth-care products and items under private labels.
