"We are convinced we can make the plane better than Airbus or Boeing, and bring it to the market earlier than they can introduce their new models...." and some are convinced space aliens have visited them. How can a journalist let such a comment pass without commenting on their absolute absurdity.

Wait a minute, was it not Russia who made the biggest aircraft in the world? If so, then why should they not be able to make a better aircraft that is not quit so big?

Just think of industrialization, victory over Germany, and the stunning feats of Sputnik and Gagarin. Yes, Russia can make a better commercial aircraft than Boeing or Airbus anytime she chooses to.

Mikey Mikey that's no sort of attitude is it? I’m convinced I AM a space alien. So, I have no problem believing that comment, anything can occur with the right systems, ask yourself how quickly have things turned around in the past? From the industry that bought the Sukhoi series to development , yeah it would be absurdity to think that they could build airplanes??? With the right funding and investment. the journo could have enquired as to more detail on the comment, like what are the stumbling blocks that are stopping you from doing this right now?
