Rebounding Rouble looking higher in 2010

The Russian currency has risen in 2009 in line with higher oil prices making the country’s exports less competitive. But Merrill Lynch says the Rouble is still undervalued and may appreciate by 20% in 2010.










An strengthened Rouble can lead to lower inflation and lower interest rates. And, after all, the Rouble was undervalued at the beginning of the recession so if it robounds much better.
