With Russian oil from the East Siberian Pacific Ocean Pipeline now making it to the USA, Business RT spoke with Jorge Montepeque, Global Editorial Director, Markets & Price Assessments, Platts, about the implications.
More pollution for Russia; more pollution for the United States; clear setback for the research and the development of clean green energy. John I do not think that those in power in Russia at this moment have the best interests of the Russian people in their hearts for if they did food would prices would not have risen twice the rate of inflation. The Russian people will be left with polluted raped earth and very little long term protection of their future. Just take a look patterns of Russia’s mining industry. This will not be any different.
John Mr. Putin has not brought the real change the Russian people were demanding and I am deeply saddened by this fact. I do despair for the Russian people; pity the nation with so much wealth but a nation that has created few billionaires and millions of poor people.

Dear Matvey Taits, who is protecting interest of Russia and Russians people? You should think about that first. National interest is a priority of any civilize country. In most provinces of Canada electricity grid is a government-owned public utility. Nothing is wrong if government is controlling prices on essential products such as energy, food, transportation and so on. It is especially important if you do not human resources market. Before pushing on energy generation reform lets establish fair salary market including minimum salary of 10 euros per hour with maximum of 40 hours per wk and 150% hourly payment, if person works more than 40 hr/wk. Sick days (10 days a year must be 100% paid), compensation for injuries, extended health (10000 euros per year) , dental coverage (3000 euros a year), disabilities on work place (70% of his yearly salary for the rest of his life), ten holidays days must be covered too if worker is not working this holiday day but if he does, another 150% of his hourly salary for every working hour. Oh, vacation must be paid too, it is another 6% of his yearly salary. So, Mr. Taits work on it before pushing any kind reform, otherwise you would present “global players” as greedy bunch of crooks who wants to violate human rights on fair market salary.
