Russian tourist numbers began to climb over December and January, with numbers in 8 of the 12 largest Russian tourist destinations above the 2008 and 2009 figures according to a Kommersant report.

Now, it is even more important that tourists arriving to Russia from the rest of the World start climbing again too. Moscow and St. Petersbourg are well known. Sochi can become a new trendy destination for Northern European tourists who want to find a new place apart from old destinations in the Mediterranean Sea and the Caribbean. But to become a quality destination for tourism Sochi has to offer good hotels, clean beaches and other services. Vladivostok can become a great tourist destination for Asians as it is "exotic" for them, the closest "European" city a few miles from Japan. China and Korea. Russian, at least those working in shops, have to learn to be kind and grateful to the tourist, so the tourist can receive a good impression.
