After the longest ever accession process key players say Russia is closing in on WTO membership, but a 17 year wait has local business people saying they will believe it when it is done.
Artyom is absolutely right; there is nothing to add. There was an other topic on RT which disappeared quickly: The U-N general Assembly started on Sept. 14th. Many topics are on the agenda, but as usual nothing concrete will be accomplished: One milliard humans are still starving, one and half trillion $ will be wasted for armaments and more Russian billionnaires will appear on Forbes magazine. The main subject on that assembly should be: When will the U-N move out of that serpents-nest and go to a real neutral place and start being useful for the whole Humanity... This WTO is a big mistake for Russia. Russia's economy has grown steadily without it. It will take decisions out of Russia's hand. The decision to stop grain exports is one example that wouldn't have been able to occur under WTO membership. Globalization is systematically destroying the world and yet Russia blindly clicks its heals and marches towards a mass sell out. Then they wonder why no one ever is happy in Russia? Is they never allow home grown business and development. The government is only worried for themselves.
