Russian businesses are more optimistic about the future than their counterparts in other countries, including Brazil, the UK and France. That’s according to the latest research by global consultants Grant Thornton.

Russia’s economic growth accompanied by a double-digit increase in consumer spending amid strong real disposable incomes, played a major role in the bright outlook of Russian businessmen.

On the downside, local companies named red tape and the lack of qualified personnel as the main hurdles.

For the fourth consecutive year, Indian businesses top the list as the most optimistic, while Japan comes in bottom this year.
