Russia's third biggest food retailer sold

Mercury holding has acquired a 51 % stake in Dixy, Russia's third biggest supermarket chain.

The market value of the deal is estimated at about $US 443 million.

Mercury plans to increase Dixy's share of the Russian food retail market.

The company already manages Moscow's Tsum department store and has a range of luxury goods outlets.
