Sweden’s Scania plans new plant in Russia

Sweden’s second-largest truck maker Scania is planning to build an assembly plant in Russia. It set to assemble 10,000 vehicles annually, but it will take four to five years to build the plant and plans are still at the discussion stage.
Scania sold more than 500 trucks in Russia in May 2006.
The company already owns a city-bus assembly plant in St. Petersburg.
Meantime, another Swedish car producer Volvo has already started its construction of its truck plant in the Russian Kaluga region.
