Ukraine expecting final price agreement on gas within a month

Ukraine expects to reach an agreement with Russia on its price for imported gas within a month, according to president Viktor Yushchenko.
Speaking to reporters in Kiev on Thursday, the president said the country would also like to agree on volumes and conditions for transit of Russian or Central Asian gas.
Ukraine is set to hold negotiations with its gas exporting countries in the coming weeks regarding price formula calculation.
Yushchenko indicated that if Ukraine increases the price for gas transit, it will automatically prompt revision of transit from Turkmenistan to Ukraine.
