Hillary’s lecture tour

Old habits always die hard. During her first visit to Moscow in office, US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton could not resist lecturing Russian politicians, not to mention students, on the kind of society they should live in. The reversion to old habits was not confined to civil society issues - it also included how the Russia-US relationship should move forward. What we saw was Washington's...

People have lived on earth for millions of years being courteous to neighbours, respectful to defeated and enemies.America was not even born then.Only people who tell others how they should live are ones who have no values.

Even with hitting the reset button the US has shown its total and intentional disrespect for reality. E.g. in the Czech Republic, after they had to scrape the Bush plans for the radar, they are returning with importing to the Czech Republic another military target, this time some kind of military NATO headquarters or base. Also Biden is arriving in Prague to cheer up their clearly confused Czech cohorts. American version of international peace and stability is their total and unchallengeable military domination over the world shared with Israel.

The Americans were rich peasants. Now they are simply peasants. If they pretend to misunderstand your words, why don't you speak to them more clearly? You'd better declare: "No sanctions to Iran. Is that clear?"

The American politicians in power are not free to say what they think and do what they would wish to. Listen to all American ex-Presidents and you would find that, only with few exceptions, they are very intelligent and reasonable guys. But, at the time when they were running the country they were behaving like gorillas -- having unnatural over-exciting expressions on their faces, "shooting out" incoherent speeches, exhibiting extra aggression, creating too much noise, and damaging things around. The behavior of American leaders is driven very much by the demands of the public. And the public wants to see in their leaders such features as arrogance, ignorance, demonstration of American superiority, leadership of others, and being winners everywhere and in everything. Shortly -- being above leaders of all other countries. I would assume, that if Clinton return back without lecturing Russians about something, the American media would tear her apart on small pieces for being "weak", "bent over before Russians", "leading the country to abyss", and similar stuff. That is way I am saying that American politicians are not trustworthy -- they do not say what they think. From the other hand, which politician is trustworthy? Politicians are liars by definition. The irony of the situation -- there is this self-destructing cycle of dependencies in which American leaders are shaped by the public and the public is shaped by those who in power. Again, this, probably, could be applied to any country... So, nothing really useful came out of this my post. :-)

I just come back from spending two wonderful months in Orenburg. I appreciate the kindness of my Russian friends. I even had a nice article written about my visit and a suggestion which I made to the maire Mr Youri Metcheriakov. Concerning Mrs Clinton's visit you should ride again those among my 112 comments which relate on the US policies. Then you will see that this American attitude was predictable. Russian must ignore those westerners and make with China, India a new World-order. Sorry Future Generations. Sincerely.Jean-Claude Meslin

Don't be so harsh with Hillary. She is in a job that she is not qualified to handle. Sometimes verbosity will cover for your lack of knowledge or experience. Obama is less qualified than Hillary, so we sort of have the blind leading the blind.

Rjat, Do you really believe that people have lived on Earth for millions of years and they lived in HARMONY? Shame on you! Do you know what I hope happens? I hope that a Russian submarine "accidentally" launches a nuclear missle with 25 MIRV into America while doing patrols off the Atlantic Coast while supporting Chavez in "America's Backyard"

No surprise, the US foreign policy has an unflattering track record , The US has a one party system , the politicians along with the media are controlled by corporate elite and the Zionist lobby . During the primaries, to demonstrate that she was better qualified in foreign affairs than Obama , Hilary made some story up about dodging bullets in Bosnia, How out of touch can you get? should anyone really take her seriously?. fred....Oregon, USA

Hillary Clinton is that wife of the war criminal former US President Bill Clinton who ordered the massive bombings of civilian sites in Serbia in 1999. WHY on this green earth would any SANE person believe even the tiniest word that utters forth from her mouth???

USA inc. Return of the Monarchy. USA was born with communist Idealisms, "A government by the people, For the people". The Law enforcement agencies are still meant to act on behalf of the people. The president is not chosen by the people, and even if he is, has no power to change the system. Obama might be a good man(I don't know yet) but as we can see, just with the Health Care Bill, He has no power. In actual fact USA has never been free, in the 60's if you were seen as a communist you were jailed (Freedom of speech) Now if you speak out against their govt. you are a terrorist or a supporter of terrorism. Their Idealism now " I need to be richer" and always has been to cheat or steal from the poorer/uneducated. With this ideology firmly engrained (The american dream), co-orperations and big business can flourish quickly, and anyone who doesn't agree with this philosophy quickly becomes an enemy. I believe the people of America have fought, given their blood, the blood of their families to be free from Imperialism, but with the apathy that is encouraged, gave their freedom away with a vote. Rev12A. Great comment! It is not so often I could see an American with so deep philosophical thinking and understanding the mechanics of the American society. People, usually forget, that if something America would be really proud of -- this country brought to the world that modern lifestyle which we have and enjoy today. America was the first country who broke the chain of imperialism and monarchy regimes which held the world in captivity for centuries. This is Americans who inspired the French Revolution and consequent Communist Revolution in Russia. And all of them had the same idealistic goal -- to build more fair and humane societies. Countries of people and for the people. By the way, the message, which I am trying to propagate here for almost a year -- with all that garbage pored on Russians and Soviets, the Westerners fail to see that Russians were trying to achieve the same goals as Americans. And they failed for the same reason why America is failing these days -- with your desire to build better society, you should never forget with whom you are trying to do this. With humans... who have common roots with monkeys.

You guys do realize how ridiculous you sound by preaching to the West about the national aspirations of South Ossetia and still not recognizing Kosovo right? Didn't think so.

Peter, This is from your friend Gene Hopkins in San Francisco. I agree with you that the United States should get out of Afghanistan. However, for Dick Cheney (a former vice-President) to undermine the sitting President (Obama) on foreign policy during a time of war in Afghanistan, IS A TRAITOROUS ACT!!!!
Bianca, October 22, 2009, 19:36 quote

@Kierkegaard, Don't your realize how ridiculous you sound by not having a clue how different the issues are. There is such a thing as international law. The West keeps on trashing it in some cases, distorting it into a pretzel when some explanations are required, or just acts plain dumb when the law has to be applied --- plain and simple. South Ossetia and Abkhazia had LEGAL grounds for separation, that Georgia denied them ever since Georgia's own declaration of independence from the Soviet Union. Georgia has applied for, and received the independence from the Soviet Union legally, not through war. But from day one refused to run referendums in their autonomous areas, a requirement under the same law. Georgia was in violation of the internal Soviet laws on secession, and then the international law --- as the laws of secession became part of the international agreement on dependence of Georgia. Both autonomies had the history of independence from Georgia. South Ossetia is an artificial creation of Stalin, the Georgian --- a chunk of land he took from the once single state of Ossetia. Abkhazia was an entirely independent duchy that joined Russian Empire, but retained much of its local autonomy. It has been incorporated into Soviet Union. Soviet Law of Secession allowed such provinces to hold a referendum the moment Georgia called for the secession. The lack of referendum caused the wars of secession, followed by the peacekeeping arrangement under UN auspices. Georgia violated --- again --- the existing agreement. Georgia hired MPRI, the well known outfit for training special forces in large scale population expulsion. The same outfit was responsible for planning, training and arming Croatian special forces to empty Serbian Krajina region in August 1995. It took them only three days to remove over 300,000 people out of the country. The "mop up" included killing the disabled and elderly who did not flee. MPRI was here on the same mission. Operation "Clean Field" --- how aptly named --- was launched against South Ossetia. Russia called an emergency Security Council meeting, and the West did not support the cease-fire. The rest of it is very clear. Georgian forces shelled Tskhinval, and then entered it. The Georgian forces recorded their own brutality by filming the destruction of homes, apartment blocks, schools, hospitals, name it. Why not show any of these "masterpieces" on Western media? Of course, to keep you and the rest of us ignorant. Russia did what it had to do. The international justice, long delayed, was finally done. The two new countries that should have been independent by the international law, are finally recognized. For as long as Georgia refrained from the use of force, Russia tolerated the unjust post-Soviet arrangement. Russia was content with the protection of the autonomous regions, without pushing for their formal recognition. But the brazen attempt at overrunning Russia's peacekeepers, and annexing the provinces by force, put an end to the "frozen" conflict, and returned, by force, the independence to these two regions. How does it compare to Kosovo? It does not. Kosovo was never an independent entity going back to the early middle ages, when Serbia's modern state was formed, and when Kosovo was the cradle of its State and religion. Till this day, there is really no clear knowledge of the first Albanian immigrants into Kosovo, but some records show it to be following the Ottoman destruction of Serbian state, late in 14th century. It is clear that the Albanian population was not the majority in Kosovo until the devastation of Serbian population under Hitler and Albanian collaboration with Nazi occupier. Under communism, the Serbian church was severely persecuted, and the fate of hundreds of monasteries, churches and chapels that dot Kosovo came into question. But the post-Cold War West, decided to play the Albanian card to pressure Serbia into NATO, or better, to allow its territory to become a large NATO base. All forms of pressure were applied. The last farce was Ramboullet meeting in France. The so called Ramboullet Agreement would have avoided bombing of Serbia and the loss of Kosovo, if Serbia signed on the military document that was more devastating that the one once offered by Hitler. NATO forces were to be allowed to use Serbian territory at Serbian expense, use all of its roads and infrastructure, and be exempt from any legal action against environmental damage or the action of its forces. That agreement was not signed, and NATO bombed Serbia. NATO did not succeed in destroying the integrated air defense, so it bombed from high altitudes only, causing incredible damage to strictly civilian infrastructure. As no progress was made, and no approval of ground forces was given in US, the resulting agreement, so called Kumanovo agreement, opened the door for UN SC Resolution 1244, that in fact RECOGNIZED the territorial integrity of Serbia with Kosovo as part of its territory. UN SC brought NATO (KFOR) and UN forces into Kosovo. The Governing instrument was the Constitutional Framework, UN administered structure for local governance. When Kosovo majority declared "independence" they were in violation of R.1244, but the UN SC was blocked due to US/UK objections to striking down this provocation. Not only that, but US and UK managed to apply pressure on Ban Ki-Moon, and force down his throat the brand new entity, EULEX, that would help run the lawless territory. Not only was the international law, UN Charter and UN SC 1244 been grossly violated, but now pressuring the highest official of UN resulted in his approving the "interpretation" of "international presence" to mean that other presence can be approved by HIM, not by UN SC. This is how, a helpless Serbia had to swallow a brand new European force, EULEX to enter Kosovo. And the UN Security Council resolution was actually changed without UN SC approval!!! But the "independent" country is not really independent. Embarrassed and humiliated Ban Ki-Moon struck back, and declared that the UN force, UNMIK, remains on the territory, as there was really no known mechanism for withdrawing it --- short of UN SC resolution. This is how US/UK maneuver to get Europe sucked into this, backfired. EU is in, but so is UN. To make the farce of independence even more bizarre, the constitution of the newly independent state calls for NATO being the final decision making arbiter in the country! It is a first legally defined NATO state in the world. Camp Bondsteel was build years ago, to insure that NATO stays, no matter what the legality. Now EULEX is supposed to build the nation from scratch. Now that the "independence" was declared, the Albanians of Kosovo are searching for their identity. There was never a "Kosovo" identity. Many Albanians considered themselves Yugoslavs. Now, as the borders between Albania and Kosovo are open, the mass influx of poor Albanians into Kosovo resulted in them living of the international funds, and jobs with foreign forces. EULEX has brought with them a virtual army of prosecutors and judges to tame the lawless land. However, the real money is with the crime families. The heroin trade from Afghanistan is finding its way to Albania and then over to Italy and Europe. The sickening trade in human beings and human organs is still flourishing unabated. In fact, during the reign of the "international community" the crime income and activity has increased. The money is finding its way into corrupting officials, domestic and foreign. So, this is Kosovo. Legally Serbian territory it has been usurped by US and UK, with the weak Europe being forced to tag along. In the process, all international laws, especially UN Charter and the UN SC Resolution 1244 were trashed, undermined and redefined --- to suit. As more countries have learned more about Kosovo, the initial pressure by US and UK has stopped having effect. Today, unlike South Ossetia or Abkhazia, Kosovo has no real governance. It has the "Parliament" and the "President", but these are functions for media only. In reality, none of them has any power. The power belongs to the crime families, and NATO. Its social services, police or schools are run by the ad-hoc hard-core Albanian secessionists, many illegal immigrants from Albania. The Serb population has under the very noses of the refined Western presence since 1999 being removed by most brutal means. Nearly 400,000 have been forced to flee. Those that remain, live in "enclaves". These enclaves are surrounded by barbed wire, and NATO guards them. This is of course, for their safety! In this newest member of the "international community" there are virtual, open air concentration camps. People there, and children, live within the confines of the barbed wire. Food, electricity and everything else is a daily struggle. This is real Kosovo. A dirty outpost of an empire, serving no particular purpose to the empire, but just to prove that it can be done. Over 120 Serbian Churches and Monasteries were destroyed since the "international community" led by NATO took charge. Even though most of them are of historic value, and many on the UNESCO protection list, not one word about these atrocities ever made it onto the pages or screens of the "free press" of ours. On the second thought, don't leave the matrix. Do not try to learn more, if you want to live happy and uncomplicated life. Take that green pill, and enjoy life. For some of us that took that red pill, there is no way back into the Matrix.

Yes, Kierkegaard, they are being ridiculous to preach about South Osetia while not supporting the Kosovar's right to self-determination. In fact, they sound about as ridiculous as when the west refuses to allow the ethnic Serbs in Kosovo to remain attached to their true country. Slavery is only bad, it seems, if one does not like the particular slave-master. I think Bogdanov has it right. It's all a waste of time as no sense of right and wrong in geopolitics can ever be stated without being strongly influenced by an individual's own interests. I guess that's just the monkey in us then, always wanting to play silly games that have no real purpose!

Bianca; I am certainly impressed with your detailed knowledge of the issues here. But, with all due respect, I must say that I think it is you who really is living in the matrix. To put that much time and effort into your comment indicates that you truely believe that the world is ruled through legal means. Every country pushes it's own agenda by citing law, humanitarian reasons, or that vauge concept of civilizing the world. But the fact of the matter is, whenever this does not produce acceptable results every country turns to reality and pushes with the raw power they have. The only solution I can see is to break the entire world into autonomous districts with populations of about 10,000 each. No political alliances or interactions of any sort should be allowed to take place between any of these entities, save for the one binding rule that if any state violates the terms then all others will immediately act to obliterate it totally. The problem, of course, is that any person/entity who becomes too big eventually becomes a tyrant. The only way to mitigate this problem is by disallowing power to agreggate beyond a certain point. Of course, the irony is that extreme power would be necessary to implement the punishment against any offenders. I call my plan "Organized Chaos," and I challenge you to show me how this is any worse that the current state of faux causes and laws we pretend to be guided by. I anxiously await your reply, but I should warn you: I have a handful of pooh ready to flick at you if you are to harsh towards me. Signed, The monkey in the cage

Actually the missile shield is not scraped they have just moved around the Chess pieces. @NGW Not to mention that Clinton statue recently erected in Kosovo probably funded by drug money or the Clinton Boulevard probably were the slave sex brothels are located named in his honour @Fred To true. @Kierkegaard If you knew the truth about Kosovo you would not be supporting it what it has become under the German created US, Turkish and British SAS trained KLA mafia mass pogroms, ethnic cleansing, organ harvesting, sex and drug capitol of Europe, etc. Unlike South Ossetia Kosovo was never an independent state and became a majority Albanian population due to the fact of illegal massive immigaion. By that regard Texas has the right to break from the US and join Mexico. Do you see how ridiculous it is for the US to support Islamic terrorist separatist’s states around the world that are supported by the likes of Iran, Hezbollah and Hamas? Funny how the 9/11 hijackers were all originally recruited to fight in Chechnya and the money transfers were not traced back to Afghanistan but Bosnia. I suggest you start by researching how the US and other western intelligence since 89 have been training, financing and creating international Islamic terror/organised crime network in the Balkans that continues to this day and there own bogus Milosevic Hague tribuneral transcripts at The Hague at Andy Wilcox website.

Bianca, Yes, I agree that the truth is the best way to go. When thrown into their face it must cause a havoc in the "international community" lines and the different clans of the so called West; Clan Anglo-America pushing through their grand chessboard game for whatever reasons, with the other Clans quietly collaborating. I want to ask you: what do you think these reasons are? I don’t know another person who can answer that question better and I really want to know what could be so important to be worth so much effort, and causing so much suffering. Locations where great pressure is obviously applied are: The Balkans, The Middle East, Central Asia.. . Is it just to show off power and to feel better? For amusement (so not to be bored..)? Is it because of some grand plan? And why these locations? – Is it because they are weak or is it because they’re strategically important and if the second, why are they strategically important? And I’m anxiously awaiting Kierkegaard’s reply.. . I get this feeling that at the end of it all we’ll come down to some pretty basic animal world rules: like, “eat or be eaten” (rather than “live and let live..”) and “might makes right.” Shouldn’t be surprising. BR Aleks
