That was a great article, Mr. Lavelle. Short, full of facts, and directly presenting the real problem here, that Benjamin wants to keep dragging this out. Shame on him for not wanting to move forward on an issue that the rest of the world knows needs to be resolved. And shame on us(the US) for condoning(or turning a blind eye, same thing) their practices for so long. Thank you for the real facts. I think Obama is going to keep hammering at him but it's hard to say when he'll give in as he is acting stubborn and dismissive over the issue. He will soon realise his mind games are not fooling anybody.

Re: Guantanamo I personally think that the USA even having a base on the island of Cuba is a form of bullying a smaller but disagreeable neighbor. That would be like Russia having a military base in Georgia. Gene

But do they have a McDonalds? @Gene Hopkins Guantanamo is just a smoke screen to divert you from secret prisons they have in the Balkans, Africa Middle East, etc Guantanamo is just a holiday resort from Muslims from Britain and the EU, Middle East, etc who got capture after the US war after 9/11 training in CIA/MI6/ISI camps there to fight there proxy wars and make controlled human rights organisations like Amnesty and HRW look good when they protest Guantanamo. I wouldn’t be surprised if they had X360 and Playstation 3’s there playing Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare with there “interrogators”.
