How do you see the symbol for the Russian rouble?
vencor 22 August, 2007, 09:06 Extremely necessary, in fact should have been introduced alongwith the capital convertibility easing! Hopefully an erxtremely new and attractive design shall be introduced soon, that shall be recognized in the far away jungles of Africa and the hot deserts of Arabia.!

Robbie 22 August, 2007, 11:49 Yes, i support the idea of symbol for the Russian Rouble. But, i think it is important to consider that it will take years until the symbol will effectively be "equalized" with the other symbols, first of all because of the technical adaption of including the symbol in all the computer systems (unicode system) in the world. However, the rouble symbol should definitely become a reality.

Sweejak 10 March, 2009, 07:13 What is the international symbol for silver? That would make the ruble quite popular stamped on a real silver coin.

If there was one currency how could you have the value of things because although you would have fair trade, you wouldn't have the stock exchange which I think would worsen the current economic crisis

TomAlan 18 October, 2009, 04:02 I look at gold coins. On the Chinese coin is the Panda, on the Canadian is the maple leaf, on the US, the Eagle. I remember a kangaroo on several Australian gold coins. I always thought the symbol for Russia was the brown bear, but yes, you need something to make it stand out, something that makes it uniquely identifiable as Russian.

FiskXPhantom 19 February, 2010, 16:55 How about a war helmet, more so like Leonidas Van Rook's helemet, yes he is from my favorite TV show The Secret Saturdays, but he's a great Russian, faces are way too cliche. Also, how about a hedgehog?
