Yes, she is good, and I think all the Russian women reporters on tv. are more natural and feminine, less harsh and platic looking than the Western women on tv. news
I normally tunr into RT to give the informative news neither BBC CNN or our local channels will give. Today I briefly tuned into RT and got a glimpse of your most beautiful interviewer Ms Sophie Shevarnadze...She reminds me of a very famous movie actress..at moment I dont remember on which channel. Therefore I tuned in to your website to get more info.
@ Vivek, i agree she is a beauty!
Sophie is an ethnic Georgian living in Moscow, Russia has become her adopted country, i would like to know how dose she feel in Moscow after what has happen between Russia and Georgia? dose she feel welcome there? do the people look at her differently?, i know the Russia and Georgian media are only doing negative stories about each other ,..in Greece there have immigrated many Russians and Georgians i have not seen any hostility towards each other,..how is the situation in Moscow and Russia? will it be possible for you to interview some ethnic Georgians in Russia to see what they have to say? has there attitude towards Russia chance? it must be very difficult watching your adopted country warring your mother country............ i know one think her beauty is always welcomed in Greece.
Sophie Shevardnadze is of course the grand-daughter of the former Soviet Foreign minister and President of Georgia. I'd hope people's interest in the progamme might go a bit deeper than that indicated by these posts ...
As for what does your typical Georgian think of Russia consider this:
On a recent plane journey we had the pleasure of travelling with scores of young Georgian students en route to Language schools in England. My wife tried to speak to one boy in Russian and was met with a frozen stare. She then asked him if he spoke English and his countenance immediately changed.
Odd, that :-)
