Meslin 13 January, 2010, 15:04 Mister Gournov I wish you a very HAPPY NEW YEAR and most of all a VERY GOOD HEALTH I did not completely forgot you; often I watch your interview. So far I have been very busy with Mr Lavelle 's programs and my crusade to make Humanity cease to waste trillions $ on armaments (60 trillions in 60 years). With N-PiPO in the White-House, it will even get worse. Sorry Future Generations ! Jean-Claude Meslin

Beverly 31 January, 2010, 20:22 Haiti Rescue, an Eyewitness Account Mr. Dulnev may have been eyewitness to the disaster, but he hasn't a clue as to what's going on in Haiti past or present. His interview could have been brought to us by the US govt propaganda machine. Haiti dirty? When you lack basic sanitation infrastructure expect trash being burned and dumped in streets. Haitians don't want to work? This racist and imperialist lie about Haiti is beyond reprehensible. Despite years of Western exploitation, Haitians have proven to be resilient people not afraid of hard work. They know they can't and they don't rely on what passes for a govt in their country for help; people help each other as best they can. These facts you will learn from many - particularly those not aligned with any Western imperialist agenda. Prof. Bill Quigley is a contributor to Counterpunch.org who has extensive experience in Haiti; he would be an fine source for true "eyewitness" accounts from someone who has been with the Haitians pre and post quake. Dulnev's account of security concerns parrots the US line and its reasoning for sending more military might than relief/rescue supplies. Indy news sources reported far more stories from relief/rescue workers who did not encounter a crime wave of thugs, nor, were there a rash of accounts about Haitians not wanting to help the rescuers. Haitians were organizing among themselves to protect their neighborhoods at night. As for looters, even Russians and "genteel" Americans would be running wild if deprived of food/water and trapped under rubble for days. Like most, Dulnev hasn't a clue that Haiti's sad sack condition is caused by decades of meddling and exploitation by France and the US. The best thing for Haitians would be for the US to get the hell out and stay out. Dulnev's racist and ignorant comments are typical and it's unfortunate he was chosen to provide "insight" when he clearly has none.

Michelle 4 February, 2010, 16:14 Aleksandr, Good afternoon, I enjoy tuning in to SPOTLIGHT most days. You have interesting guests and I particularly like your informal style of interviewing. It is great to see the Russian sense of humour. I am new to Politics and am very interested in watching interviews that address Russia and Human Rights issues, particularly interested in Health and Safety issues i.e. drinking and driving, that can effect the lives of everyday Russians. It was quite distressing to watch the effects of the event at Perm. Kind regards.

mbach 29 March, 2010, 03:12 I've taken a real liking to Spotlight, and enjoy Al Guornov's style of interviewing. He makes his point with tact and then moves the discussion on--- a class act. I hope that he is given more opportunities to interview important international figures like UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon (he did a brilliant job on that one). I'd love to see him interview Yukiya Amano. If I only watch one thing on RT each week, it would be this program, and lately that is just the case. While Crosstalk and Keiser Report have become increasingly unpalatable for me, this show just keeps getting better.

Ivan 23 October, 2010, 22:58 Dear Mr Gurnov, Would it be possible to invite to Spotlight Mr Starikov, a Russian writer, who has written eight books about history of Russia. Mr Starikov gives very interesting interpretation for a lot of events that do not get much attention in the mainstream media. His site - w w w . nstariokov . ru gaining popularity day by day. No doubt Mr Stariokov, who is often called - unofficial Kremlin’s (Russian White House to be precise) megaphone, would be interesting guest for your global audience. Best wishers, Ivan

Vlad Yelbaev 7 November, 2010, 00:34 Mr Gournov, several ideas. Why not break open to vaster circuit of show's guests than you are commited to presently? This could include the music or showbiz or media or related topic that I personally could contribute to. I see the room of development in terms of spoken English level, Grammar inparticular - refering the one I'm watching this instant, highlighting Rakhmaninov grandson (the tongue commuted is neither Oxfordian nor American English). I see you as deserving highest standard of hosting and this could work out with invitees like myself. V.Yelbaev, ex-The Moscow Tribune columnist
