Just wanted to tell you how much I enjoy the Wayfarer with Mark Ames. I'm currently watching the episode where he goes to a Halloween party and an excavation. Do you intend on releasing these in the United States on DVD? I am fascinated by the beauty of Russia and hope to visit it one day. Thank you.
I'm a great fan of Mark Ames and his 'Wayfarer' series. His humor and tact towards the Russians is appealing and a refreshing change from the usual arrogant cold war attitude. I especially like the way he tries everything out ie. making glass, making cakes, drinking vodka and even dancing Cossack dances which gives each region a memorable identity. He's also quite funny and quotable with gems like, " How can I say Yaba Daba Doo if I'm not happy." I would like to purchase some DVDs if I can. How do I go about doing that?
The Wayfarer series is great with Mark and Martin Andrews. Always brings a smile to my face! I totally agree with the people above too. RT should put these programs on DVD. Russia is such an amazing country and these two talented and entertaining hosts have made us more aware how incredible it is.
I really enjoy this show with Mark Ames; he is really amusing. So far, my favorite is when he fell in love with the baby seal.
Will there be DVDs available? Thank you.
My wife and I have thoroughly enjoyed the Wayfarer programs! I'm just wondering when the NEW programs will be available. The latest ones I have available are January 2009. What gives?
I posted a question back in March of this year asking when the Wayfarer program would be up-dated. I received a response some time later stating the show would be airing new episodes shortly. As of today, I see there are still no new Wayfarer episodes available. Has the program been cancelled, and if so, why is it still being listed as available? My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed all of the past shows. I am certain, given the immensity of a country such as Russia and its regions, there is plenty of that great nation we have not seen. I hope you will continue the show and not delay too much longer airing new episodes.
Sincerely,
Dan Davis
