As long as there is demand for that kind of storage and as long as something BETTER or MORE CONVINIENT doesn't come along !

It will be downsizing of CDs and enlargement of storage space only.

They will be around for a while on an ever increasing LESSER use. MP3 and other formats, saved to flash drives are taking over.

Memory Cards and solid state disks are the future. Maybe blu-ray disks will last a little more...

people still use cassettes.. the CD disc will survive another 25 why ? it is cheap and sounds better than mp3/4
